The formal dinner conducted at the start of the second semester of university is also known as the Foundation Dinner. Board Members, Alumni and Friends join the residents to have a good time together in remembrance of the formation of International House UNSW back in 1968. The newly-launched iVision is a group of residents enthusiastic in joining efforts to make a difference in the community. Fundraising efforts for the NSW Deaf Association and the Pakistani earthquake received overwhelming support, and other worthwhile causes like visiting a Seniors' Home and a child-sponsorship also form some of the projects. Certainly iVision is going from strength to strength in achieving its purpose.

This, you have to see! A funky eveving brought out the wackiest from residents, where numerous cartoon characters came to life and role-playing goes a bit too far. Part of International House tradition, we stage a Formal Dinner at the beginning of the university session. Residents are encouraged to put on their national attires, giving rise to a vibrant multi-cultural atmosphere. Following the College annual photograph, we made our way to the beautifully decorated dining hall for an evening of performances, entertainment and delicious cuisine prepared by the Resident’s Society, Seniors, and the Food Services Staff of the House.

Every year in the week preceding University session, International House organises a series of activities as known as Orientation Week. Among those activities the IH Olympics is one of the highlights. This year residents old and new grouped themselves according to floors to outdo each other in bloody battles for victory. It's a tried-and-tested event, where friendships were formed in the war zone, where race, sex and language formed no barrier in the pursuit of college-wide glory.
