Opening Dinner  

 

 

At the start of each year, IH kicks of with its annual opening dinner. The aim of this is to provide residents with the opportunity to meet each other in an atmosphere of friendship and appreciation for diversity.

This year IH boasts residents from all corners of the globe. Our 166 residents come from Australia to Zimbabwe and everywhere else in between. To help promote the theme of international understanding, residents are encouraged to wear their national costumes.

Are You Game Party  
When you put together a fountain of chocolate, a mountain of Krispies and bucketfuls of coffee (with or without some punch on the side), you get an excuse for an unmatchable party of titanic proportions, perfect for taking a break from the mundane and for once, go all out and indulge in some activities that one would not normally be caught doing at all. >>more

Easter Lounge Party  
This year IH celebrated Easter by throwing a spectacular party in the specially renovated games room. >>more

Foundation Dinner  

 

 

Every year IH celebrates its foundation with the aptly named Foundation Dinner. This year held a special significance as it was the 40th anniversary for IH UNSW. It is a time for residents to reflect upon the purpose of the house and what they hope to gain out or their time here. Alumni are often invited to speak at these dinners to share their stories about the impact living at IH had on them.

OzJet 2008  
In breaking apart from the norm, IH RESOC this year offered the residents a unique way of exploring the Sydney Harbour - on a high speed jet boat. >>more

Harbour Cruise 2008 - Picnic in the Gardens  
The annual Harbour Cruise organized by IH RESOC was done with a twist this year. A boat was chartered and loaded full with residents, and subsequently brought out to Sydney Harbour so that its passengers may take in the full view of the panoramic sights offered by picturesque Sydney. >>more

Closing Dinner 2008
