The Rotary Club
has a long affiliation with UNSW International House since
it opened its door in 1968. As a tradition, hosted by members
of the Rotary Club of Orange, each year a group of residents
make a trip to the town and enjoy the graceful hospitality
of the distinguished members of the community.
At Orange, we were treated to Aussie Barbies
(BBQ), visited a farm for apple-picking and some of us went
on a light airplane flight in the sky. While staying over
with our host families, we had the chance to hear stories
and culture of the locals. For many of us, being overseas
students, nothing beats experiencing the authentic Aussie
way of life.
