I am a graduate of UNSW from 1976
graduating in medicine, and since then I have had a very varied
career. I was an intern at RPH Hospital, then went into general
practice, as a doctor for Family Planning, a Naval doctor, and an
academic teaching medicine at TAFE and UNSW. My career as a doctor
in the general community has given me a lot of personal and professional
satisfaction, but I have also developed other interests and professional
skills as well. I have made a lot of contributions to medical education
of medical students, general practitioners, and professionals in
other fields such as occupational safety and environmental health,
and of late, have published health and safety guidelines for child
care centres. My personal interests are natural history, bird watching,
stamp collecting, and promoting the health of our environment.
