Charmaine obtained her Diploma in Biotechnology in Singapore, during which she secured work experience positions at Nestle R & D Ltd and Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia, leading to a full-time position at the National Cancer Institute of Singapore. On completion of her Honours degree at UNSW, she took on a Research Assistant position in the Neurobiology Division of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. She is currently employed at the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia where she is involved in improving the outcomes of cancer therapy in active patients.
